Cody graduated in 2008 with an Entrepreneurship degree from the University of North Texas.  She immediately put those management, finance, and accounting skills to work by continuing her employment at North Star Academy, promoted to the role of Assistant Director.  For the following years, Cody gained small business management experience and responsibility for the school, leaving the role of Director in 2017.  

Until recently, Cody has focused on her other passion, Early Childhood Education.  While teaching part-time, she leveraged her technological, organizational, and financial skills to benefit the non-profit organizations she supports.  Cody has volunteered many hours with Denton public schools, the Denton Arts and Jazz Festival, and the Linda McNatt Animal Shelter.  In support of those organizations, Cody has organized fundraising, overseen financial transparency, implemented software systems, and created SOPs so the good work can continue in the future.  Being a helper by nature, Cody often finds herself in the role of organizer and planner, and is now doing so professionally.
